Summerslam preview

This really isn't a match by match preview or blog

rather my thoughts on how the placement of matchs on the card generally determines the outcome.

Anyway there are 4 match's in my view which can be infulenced by thier placement on the card of summerslam. let's start with the ECW title match

Simply put, the idealogy that WWE has been using for the last couple of ppvs, is that the opener has to be a strong match, with (usally no always) a baby face win to get the crowd rolling. If the ECW title match was to start first, I would say that Chistain would win, factoring in that this fued has been going on for about 2 weeks. however if it doesn't start first, there's a strong possbility that regal could escape with the title with some help from jackson.

Same thing said with the intercontional match. Zigger is most likly to win, but Rey could pull out the win if slated to go on first. though MVP and Swagger could go on first but who cares. (they screwed both thier push's up)

ok even though there is no way in hell that Cena V Orton could go on after TLC, you have to wonder weather or not WWE will give us another bullshit ending to a orton match. but considering how cena's been booked latly, really wouldn't surpise me if he won, or orton got DQ.

TLC. should be a classic match. Punk should win but hardy (one of them) get's revenge on punk after match and sends the crowd home happy. again classic\

well thats it once again from me (minus spell check)

When my TAFE course meet's wrestling.....

During my TAFE course our latest subject happens to be customer service

That being one topic in it being market research. I quote

'an successful company will constantly have market research in order to adapt to any changes that may affect their standards, much like when the Japanese surprised the American car industry with a cheaper, more effect working car'

Now how does this apply to wrestling?

Simple. The PG rating

Vince is a wrestling genius, and while a lot of people do not like this trend in WWE, it's actually a good move by them. This being why

The Attitude era was considered the golden days of wrestling (ratings wise) and compared to now days, it was much more... adult, in that sense blood sport. Now as the shock value decreases among fans they start to tune out, slowly but surely. And what company should come along to offer an alternative to the current product? One that can fill the blood firsty nature of these fans?

No not TNA. UFC my friends, UFC

UFC has rapidly established itself as a brutal sport, one in which can state "some ones going to get hurt"

So here we have WWE, slowly but surely sliding in the ratings, and what does Vince do? He recognises the changing market, and start's appealing to a different audience. That being said. Kids.

Kids, annoying filthy little things that drive parents to the point where they hand over their hard earn cash to just keep their kids happy. Kids who are so easily manipulated by storylines (good and evil ones) and will cheer and boo anyone their told to. Kids who... well one day become true wrestling fanatics and start this cycle over again.

Vince has been able to change the product in a way so that he is not only appealing to a new audience, but grabbing new fans for life, ones that will always be loyal to the brand, and be able to buy the product. This is what makes WWE so successful. And makes other companies (cough tna cough) insignificant.

I'm not saying that all grown fans are bloodthirsty males. And I'm not saying that all kids are dumb. The point I'm just trying to make is that WWE have recognised a change, and have adapted to it, they have evolved once again.

It's a bird.. its a plane!

No it's John Cena!

That's right folks step right up and see this generation's hulk hogan run wild over everyone! see him beat a guy with 4 move's.. or destory the entire undercard of heel's in 2o min!

Ok ok little harsh from me (and as razor would put it 'smarkness') but come on, I like the man but I don't think it was the right idea to do that, does WWE really want half the crowd to start booing him again, I meanthe jeering has gone down, but only because they made him... human.

Though this does have one little bright side. The miz can really shine now on smackdown. ECW is heavy on heels so Miz would make a great expecation into Smackdown. After all they do need a new single's heel after Jerico teamed up with show. Miz could really pull a number.

What's your thought's IC?
